Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Missions
Taking the Gospel Across the Street and Around the World

At Cedarwood, we believe Jesus has called us to take the gospel beyond the walls of our church. We want to make a difference in our community, across South Carolina, throughout our nation, and around the world.
That means we don't simply support missions—we participate in missions.

Local & State Missions

We partner with ministries and organizations that are making a difference right here in our community and across South Carolina, including:
Crossroads Pregnancy Center
Lander University
Laurens Baptist Association
Pathway House
South Carolina Baptist Convention
Waterloo Elementary School
Through these partnerships, we have opportunities to serve our neighbors, meet practical needs, build relationships, and share the hope of Jesus.

North American Missions

Cedarwood also partners with churches and church planters who are taking the gospel into communities across our nation.
We currently support two church plants in Indianapolis, Indiana:
New Circle Church
Refuge Baptist Church
We believe healthy churches planting healthy churches is one of the most effective ways to reach people with the gospel and make disciples.

International Missions

Our commitment to missions extends around the world.
Cedarwood supports full-time missionaries serving in Haiti and Mexico, helping take the gospel to people beyond our borders.

We have also entered into an ongoing missions partnership with the International Mission Board (IMB) in Panama. Each year, teams from Cedarwood travel to Panama to work alongside missionaries and local churches in sharing the gospel and building relationships.
Our ministry in Panama includes:
Evangelism on college campuses
Ministry in elementary, middle, and high schools
Hospital ministry
Street evangelism
Community outreach
Partnering with local churches
Sharing the gospel and helping connect people with local believers

For us, Panama isn't simply a place we visit for a mission trip. It's a place where we are building an ongoing relationship and returning year after year to help advance the gospel.

Everyone Can Be Part of the Mission

You don't have to travel across the world to be involved in missions.
You can pray. You can give. You can serve. And you can go.
Whether God sends us across the street, across South Carolina, across the country, or across the world, our mission remains the same:
Take the gospel to people who need Jesus.
